Archmere vs Red Lion Christian Academy, October 5, 2021

Auks Volleyball narrowly defeated Red Lion Christian Academy 3-2 this past Tuesday in the Moglia Fieldhouse. Despite entering the game as the underdog, the Auks easily won the first set 25-17. However, Red Lion made a comeback to win the second 25-14. The Auks and Lions battled back and forth in the 3rd and 4th sets, with Archmere taking the 3rd 25-20 and the Lions winning the 4th 25-18, sending the match to a 5th set. The final set proved to be an exciting one with the two teams battling point for point. Ultimately the Auks prevailed, with a block from junior Jess Lattanzi ending the set 15-13 and landing the Auks a hard fought victory. Adding to the success, both the 9th grade and JV teams won their matches: 2-0 against Ursuline and 2-0 against Red Lion respectively. This Friday, the Auks will travel to Saint Elizabeth’s with the hopes of adding another win to their 3-4 record.
