Archmere Football Marches Past Mount Pleasant

This past weekend’s Varsity football game against Mount Pleasant was electric from the first play of the game–a kick return touchdown from senior Max Ewing. Junior Quarterback Chris Albero was 13 for 21 passing for 135 yards and threw for 2 touchdowns; he also had 2 touchdowns and 44-yards rushing. Senior Johnny Kim had a touchdown in the second quarter and 83 total return yards. Junior Kieran Udovich was also part of the excitement on offense with an early touchdown. Junior Ben Mongare had 51 combined yards offensively and an INT on defense. Defensively the Auks went off with Scott Lucarelli’s 7 tackles and Cam Kilocholu’s 5 tackles and 2 sacks. Kevin Digregorio produced 4 tackles and a sack, and Kieran Udovich had 8 tackles. Once again, the Auks came out on top with a 48-6 win over the Knights bringing the Auk record to 2-0 as they continue to prepare for their big game this coming Saturday against the defending champions, the Howard Wildcats.
