Get to Know Mrs. Gentile
November 16, 2022
This year, Archmere welcomed Mrs. Meghan Gentile to the Theology department as a 9th and 10th grade religion teacher.
Mrs. Gentile’s Catholic faith has always played a significant role in her life. However, she didn’t realize just how important it was to her until high school, thanks to the guidance of her teacher, Ms. Pyne. “With her, there was never any judgment — just patience, learning, and growing,” Mrs. Gentile said. She added that the guidance of her teacher is what inspired her to become a religion teacher. “Her willingness to grow with me and teach me, not just in the classroom but in life in general, made me think that teaching was something I wanted to do too.”
Mrs. Gentile first attended college at West Chester University, where she studied six majors before finally deciding on Theology and transferring to Francisican University in Ohio. “If you’re indecisive, you’ll be okay,” she said with a laugh. After college, Mrs. Gentile taught at numerous schools and worked for the last four years as a youth minister.
Outside of school, Mrs. Gentile loves to sing. “There will be times where my husband and I’s house is karaoke without noticing”, she said. She enjoys hanging out with family and friends, as well as getting to know people and encountering good conversations.
“I’m excited to be back in the classroom,” Mrs. Gentile said. Although Gentile loved her job as a youth minister, she missed having that connection with students that goes beyond the classroom. “I look forward to hearing how students are doing, how their day is, and attending their games,” she said. It is safe to say Archmere is the perfect place for that.
