This past year, teenagers all over the United States have been invested in the Crumbl Cookie franchise. Whether they’re checking for the weekly flavors, rating them on the Crumbl app, or posting review videos on TikTok, the Crumbl craze seems to be making high school students everywhere, well, crazy.
So, as summer comes to a close and school starts up again, it seems appropriate to highlight some of the most notable cookies that Crumbl has introduced.
#1: Benson Boone Moonbeam Ice Cream Cookie (June 30th – July 5th)
Last spring, singer-songwriter Benson Boone released the song “Mystical Magical,” which quickly went viral on social media due to its catchy beat and famous “moonbeam ice cream” lyric. On June 30th, Crumbl partnered with Benson Boone to create the Moonbeam Ice Cream Cookie as one of its weekly flavors. Benson Boone fans and Crumbl fanatics alike flocked to their nearest Crumbl store to try the chocolate-based cookie with rainbow buttercream icing to see if it really did taste “mystical magical.”
Ella Julian ‘27, who had been anticipating the Moonbean Ice Cream Cookie for some time before it came out, claimed that “it was really good, but it was a very odd flavor.”
She described it as “chocolatey, but also not. It’s very hard to describe, but it was almost like a unicorn flavor mixed with chocolate.”
#2: Strawberry Summer (July 26th – August 30th)
On July 28th, Crumbl announced that for the last month of summer, one of the weekly cookies would be something strawberry-inspired to pay tribute to the classic summer flavor. From Strawberry Cheesecake to Strawberry Pretzel Pie, those six weeks brought new combinations of sugary strawberry tastes to stores all over the US.
“I don’t remember if I tried any of the strawberry cookies,” said Oskar Plosaj ‘27, “I think their weekly themes are pretty nice though, because they make people want to come back to try the new flavors.”
#3: Dubai Chocolate Brownie (August 18th – 23rd)
The Dubai Chocolate Brownie cookie, available August 18th–August 23rd, quickly became one of summer’s most coveted Crumbl flavors. Crumbl’s take on the TikTok-famous Dubai chocolate, which has been trending online and in stores for the past few months, consisted of a brownie base with a chocolate and pistachio drizzle icing on top.
“I absolutely loved it,” Ruby Talabisco ‘26, a frequent Crumbl customer, said about the Dubai Chocolate Brownie. “The brownie was nice and moist…it had a layer of Dubai chocolate on the top, with the pistachio, and it was perfect. It was very enjoyable.”
#4: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie (August 18th – 23rd)
The same week of the Dubai Chocolate Brownie, Crumbl also had another new flavor: the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie. This cookie had all of the characteristics of a classic chocolate chip cookie, but with a pumpkin dough and a more cake-like consistency.
However, the introduction of a pumpkin cookie so early in the season raised controversies with students at Archmere. Crumbl cookie enthusiast, Audrey Therriault ‘27, expressed her irritation with the early fall flavor.
“I don’t want it to be fall yet. Labor Day hasn’t even happened, pools are still opened…We are still in summer, technically until September 21st, so I’d prefer if they didn’t try to force pumpkin chocolate chip on me just yet,” she claimed.
When all is said and done, there’s no denying that this summer’s Crumbl flavors will continue to be craved for months to come. As the weather gets colder and it starts to transition into the fall and winter months, new and returning seasonal Crumbl flavors are sure to be coming each week. Stay on the lookout for the popular ones to try.
