When the time comes to start preparing for an assessment, many teachers use technology to help their students review. It’s rare for an Archmere student to go a week without playing at least one technological review game in class. Games provide an opportunity for friendly competition and repetitive review. Teachers at Archmere use a variety of games to prepare students for exams such as Kahoot!, Quizlet Live, Quizizz, Blooket, Gimkit, Jeopardy, and more.
Archmere teachers were recently surveyed anonymously to determine their review game preferences. Out of those who responded, Quizlet Live was undeniably the most popular. Quizlet is a classic website used for studying and has been popular for many years. Some of the teachers who prefer Quizlet Live claim that Quizlet is so easy because they often have pre-made flashcards on Quizlet. Therefore, they do not need to create any new review questions. One teacher even indicated that the Quizlet Live background music is the best. Kahoot!, another classic, came in second place. Many teachers claimed that Kahoot! is also an easy option because of the pre-made sets of questions that they can use.
Of all the teachers who participated in the survey, only one disliked using review games. Overall, it’s clear that Archmere teachers love their review games, specifically Quizlet Live due to the convenience of the study sets and fun music that students love.
